In the file preferences panel you can set up where your downloaded files should be stored, which directories you want to share and where the incomplete download files are stored.
Enter the name of the directory, where you want your completed downloads to be saved in, in the text field or press the directory chooser button on the right to conveniently choose a directory.
Pressing the "Advanced..." button opens a dialog where you can choose a special download directory for each media type respectively.
Enter the name of the directory, where you want your incomplete downloads to be saved in, in the text field or press the directory chooser button on the right to conveniently choose a directory.
Enter the name of a directory you want to share in the text field and press the "plus" button to add it to the list of shared directories below.
You can also press the directory chooser button on the right to choose a directory. Closing the dialog with the "OK" button automatically adds the chosen directory to the shared directories, so you don't have to press the "plus" button.
In order to remove a directory from the list of shared directories select its name in the list and press the "minus" button.
The path to your shared directories may convey sensitive information like your real world name which you don't want to make public. Enabling the "Share Full Path" checkbox suggests to the network plugins to hide that information. Unfortunately this is just a suggestion and not all plugins honor this request. At least the OpenNap plugin is known to enforce it.
